Moped Covers
Many people purchasing a moped for the first time often forget about storage! More
often than not your moped is parked around the back of your house and in the open
exposed to the elements, sure they are robust things but over time they will start
to show some signs of weather damage, the other thing (a personal hate of mine)
is sitting on a wet seat in the morning. The answer to this issue is relatively
simple, you need to invest in moped covers to protect your bike.
When looking for moped covers you want to ensure that you select one that is waterproof,
that might sound like an obvious thing to say but they do actually supply dust covers
for mopeds (for indoor storage)so double check what you are buying. The other thing
to look out for is ventilation; moisture can build up putting you back to square
one if you are not carful.
The market for moped covers is not exactly busy so your choices are limited but
I recently purchased a moped cover from Amazon that more than did the trick. The
Maypole Quality Scooter & Moped Bike Cover offers a cover that is UV and water resistant,
it has ventilation and a storage bag, the colour is a bit drab being grey but this
is not a fashion parade and at only £14.95 it is a bargain. There are of course
plenty of other places aside from Amazon to purchase a cover but it is a good start,
if you are not an Amazon fan a quick Google search will do the trick.
A moped cover might seem like a trivial thing to consider when purchasing a new
moped but trust me it is worth it, storing a moped off-road is always the preferred
choice for security and peace of mind but if you must store it in the open air then
a moped cover is a no brainer.
